The V310 Is a Handheld Code Reader
Short answer: the V310 has its own screen and buttons. Plug the lead into the 16-pin OBD-II port and turn the ignition on.
The menu lists Read Codes, Erase Codes, View Freeze Frame and I/M Readiness. VIN and DTC buttons sit on the unit. Power comes from the car at DC 9–16 V. The reader is 155 × 85 × 25 mm and about 200 g.
What to open
Choose Read Codes for the stored engine fault. View Freeze Frame keeps the snapshot saved with that code. Live data can include engine speed, coolant temperature, vehicle speed and calculated load, where the car provides them.
