The Car Starts, but the Engine Light Stays On
Short answer: a car that starts with the engine light on still has a stored code. Read it with the V310.
Plug the lead into the 16-pin OBD-II port and turn the ignition on. Choose Read Codes, then View Freeze Frame for the snapshot saved with that code.
Live data worth a look
Where the car provides them, the V310 can show engine speed, coolant temperature, vehicle speed and calculated load. The DTC button shows a code meaning. Clear the code only after the fault is fixed.
