Where to Plug the V310 Lead
Short answer: the V310 lead is a 16-pin OBD-II plug. On most cars the socket is under the dashboard, around the steering column.
Plug the lead in and turn the ignition on. The reader takes power from the car at DC 9–16 V. There is no separate mains adapter.
Then open the menu
Choose Read Codes, Erase Codes, View Freeze Frame or I/M Readiness. Use the VIN button for the chassis number and the DTC button for a code meaning.
